Volunteer for Hospice Buffalo Clean-up/Flower Planting

Clean-up & Flower Planting
Student Volunteers are needed for a “St. John Baptist Hospice Buffalo House Clean-up and Flower Planting Day.” On Saturday October 8th, from 10 am - 1 pm, volunteers will be gathering at the hospice house located at 111 Maple St, on the border of the Buffalo-Niagara Medical Campus. The grounds will be cleaned and flowers will be planted around the St. John Baptist Hospice House. Lunch will be served to all volunteers.

Various Volunteer Opportunities

Groundwork Buffalo CLEAN UP DAY(s)

Saturday, Sept 24th 1-3pm
Sunday, Sept 25th 9-noon GRASS SEEDING/RAKING
Location: 419 Goulding at Wohlers
PLEASE WEAR YOUR WORK/GARDEN GLOVES or MITTENS

The next few Garden of Stewardship work days scheduled are:
Saturday, Sept 24th from 9am-12:30pm
Saturday, October 1st from 1-3pm
Saturday, October 8th from 9am-12:30pm
all are located at 208 East Eagle, Buffalo 14204

Additionally, if students have availability after school, text Ms. Caesandra N. Seawell because there are days when she goes out to certain locations after work.
She also occasionally goes out to work on Sundays. Her number is: 716-803-5566

LEAVES ARE NEEDED - if you rake your yard, please bring your bags of leaves so that we can use them in the garden beds for fertilizer (208 East Eagle)

Help is needed for a special event at the Central City Cafe Soup Kitchen. It is a:
Waffle Plate Breakfast

8am(setup) until 1pm (cleanup)
Volunteers are needed for set up, serving and clean up.

If you would like to volunteer for the City Honors Pelion Community Garden (located at 206 Best Street - right across from City Honors), the following dates have been scheduled:

Monday, October 10th 9am-1pm
Saturday, October 22nd 9am-1pm
Saturday, November 12th 9am-1pm

Just show up ready to work those days!

Elmwood Village Clean-up

The Elmwood Village Association is looking for volunteers to work with their staff to help cleanup Elmwood Avenue. The cleanup will take place on Monday, October 17th from 1:00pm and 5:00pm. If you are interested in volunteering please, email the office at jeffery@elmwoodvillage.org

Help out with the Pelion Community Garden

Thursday, September 8th from 1 pm to 5 pm we are looking for volunteers to come across the street (206-212 Best Street) to help plant!

Many of the plants that need to go in the RAIN GARDEN at the rear of Pelion Garden.

Bring some garden gloves and a hand shovel/or large spoon and plan to get DIRTY!

No need to RSVP - just come by after school ends.

~ 15th Event! ~

Park at Erie County Medical Center between 8 and 8:30 a.m.

Buses will shuttle volunteers to Westminster Community Charter School for check-in.

Volunteers will then walk to houses at 9 a.m.

Lunch begins at noon back at the school.
