Music & Memory Program at St. John Baptist Hospice – Volunteers Needed

Established in July 2013, Music & Memory is an expressive therapies program operating at St. John Baptist Hospice In-Patient Unit in downtown Buffalo. Having received a generous grant, The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care was able to purchase several iPods, docking stations, and headphones in order to provide patients with personalized music playlists. The connection patients have to music, and the therapeutic benefit music provides, is undeniable.
Caitlin Lachaal, Program Coordinator for Music & Memory, is looking for reliable and dedicated volunteers to help facilitate this program. Volunteers would be expected to have a general knowledge of Apple products and be comfortable interacting with patients and their families. We are looking for volunteers ages 16 and older.
