Possible Scholarship for Global Leadership Academy

The Global Leadership Academy is offering a scholarship for 10 City Honors students.  The scholarship is worth $500. The total cost of this intensive academy is: $2850 (Canadian dollars). This includes everything but airfare. The deadline for the scholarship is May 1, 2015 at 5 pm EDT.

The deadlines for the 3 sessions are as follows:

· Session 1 (June 28 - July 11) - application deadline June 1, 2015
· Session 2 (July 19 - August 1) - application deadline July 1, 2015
· Session 3 (August 9 - August 22) - application deadline July 1, 2015

Application for IB World Conference at U of R : Class of 2016 only

Below is the link to apply for a scholarship to attend the IB World Conference taking place at the University of Rochester in August. The deadline for applications is April 3, 2015. With this scholarship, and matching funds from U of R, each student selected to attend will only be out of pocket $200-$300.

Volunteer opportunity on 3/13

A raffle/fundraiser/benefit is being held at the Wesleyan Church of Hamburg on McKinley Parkway from 5-7:30 pm

They are looking for teenagers who would like to help: serve pizza, face paint little children, run the 50/50 raffle, help with theme basket raffle and more.

Volunteer opportunity at University District Community Development Assoc.

The after school program of the University District Community Development Association is looking for student volunteers. The program takes place from 2:30-6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Volunteers would help tutor students, assist in teaching Math and English lessons, and help out with enrichment activities.

Volunteers can stay for whatever amount of time works best for them, but the Association is hoping for a commitment of at least one or two hours a week.
